This learning to blog has been interesting so far. In some respects it is similar to facebook, but in other respects it is quite different. Currently, I'm trying to figure out if there is any way of making my Ireland picture stay within the edges of template instead of extending on the right hand side into the green portion of my blog. When I look in the add a page element section it appears that everything is all right, yet it still extends past the boundaries. Any suggestions out there?

What an awesome picture you have on your blog! When did you go to Ireland? I have always wanted to go to Europe... What an experience that would be! The picture is highly appropriate for the blog's content. The blog looks great so far!

Thanks Jami,
I went to Ireland last July (2006)for the entire month. I really enjoyed it a lot. While there I took courses in Irish History and Irish Literature. We had to do a total of four essays (two for each course) and I found the computer labs very much up to date and quite user friendly at UCC (University College Cork).
They had an interesting system there that allowed you to automatically print out anything you needed, for free, by typing in your user name and password. It was way cool. They also kept someone in the labs at all times that could help you if you ran into a computer glich of any kind.
The library was interesting as well. Here we have, basically, an unlimited access to however many books we want to get out, there they limit the undergrades to I think it was three books and the graduates to no more than five books, which was what they allowed us while we were there. They also had a neat system that allowed you to place your ID card on the stripe of this machine which scanned your card and then asked you to place the book on to be scanned that you were either getting out or returning. You didn't have to go to someone to get the book out or to return it. It was way neat and in some respects I wish we had something similar here.
Yo Barb, you need to shrink your photo down. Resize it to 400 pixels wide. Actually, I saved it and resized it to 400x297 and it looks like it would fit perfectly.
Right now, your picture is 692x514 -- way bigger than the blog's default column width. If you don't have photo software to resize the picture, you can use free sites like http://photobucket.com/ or http://imageshack.us/ or http://www.flickr.com/ and get it down to a size that does not exceed 400 pixels wide.

Thanks Vin I will try that when I get a bit more time, possibly on Thursday night!
